Dollhouse - Paul and Echo!?
Can you believe it?
Dollhouse and star Eliza Dushku are returning to TV next year in one of the miracle rescues of this TV season! Speaking of miracles, can someone please figure out a way to keep Miracle Laurie in the mix? It's not really going to be the same show without Mellie/November. (And yeah, that's a spoiler alert if you haven't seen Dollhouse yet. Catch up, willya?)
Press play see Eliza's thank you to the fans, and learn why and how she'll be getting even closer to Tahmoh Penikett's Paul Ballard next season.
Last but not least, please post your thank yous to Fox in the comments for making this bet on Joss Whedon!

24 - Season 8 Casting Update and Spoilers
Jack Bauer? He's all that in the eyes of a new CTU agent to be played by Freddie Prinze Jr., the latest actor to sign on for 24's eighth season.
A star of such films as She's All That and two Scooby-Doos — where he played opposite lady love Sarah Michelle Gellar — and the short-lived sitcom Freddie, Prinze Jr. joins 24 as Davis Cole, a Marine who now heads up the resurrected CTU's Field Ops division. In that role, Cole fancies himself the new Jack Bauer, says the Hollywood Reporter.
24 has trod this path before, introducing a strapping field agent (James Badge Dale's Chase Edmunds, Ricky Schroder's Mike Doyle) who ostensibly might one day relieve weary Jack and inherit the "Drop it!" mantle. Chase, though, dropped off the radar after losing his hand (and girlfriend Kim), while Mike had a bomb go off in his face (a manuever to one day be known as The Juliet).
Also joining 24 is Mumbai-born beauty Nazneen Contractor (CBC's The Border), playing the daughter of Anil Kapoor's Middle Eastern leader. Counting down to her untimely kidnapping in five... four... three... .
Earlier this week, Jennifer Westfeldt (Kissing Jessica Stein) and Chris Diamantopoulos (The Starter Wife) were added to the 24 cast.
Season 8 of 24, to be set in New York City, premieres Jan. 17, 2010.

Smallville - Season 9 Casting Update
According to EW here is a potential casting call for Zod, but the casting call lists the character's name as Mason.
Thanks to Shanna for the heads up.
Smallville - Season 9 Casting Update
MASON:
Late 20's early 30's. He's a handsome charismatic charmer who savors life. He appreciates good food, loves fast cars and sees beauty in every woman. There isn't a detail in life that eludes his senses. He is a master of seduction... knowing what everyone wants and needs before they do. But don't let his magnetism fool you. There's more than meets the eye. His intelligence can't be matched. He outmaneuvers everyone in his path. Though he longs to find a home, that vulnerability can be twisted -- making him a force to be reckoned with."

Dexter - Season 4 Major Casting Scoop
Dexter - Season 4 Major Casting Scoop and Spoilers
Dexter has found its next Big Bad.
Sources confirm to me exclusively that John Lithgow is joining the season 4 cast as Walter Simmons, an unassuming suburbanite who has been living a duel life as one of America’s most prolific and deadliest serial killers. When the mad man (who is dubbed the "Trinity Killer" because he always kills in threes) relocates to Miami, Dexter becomes obsessed (or inspired?) by his efficient killing methods and ability to evade capture for almost three decades. (This is the new antagonist role exec producer Sara Colleton teased back in April.)
Dexter's fourth season premieres on Sept. 27. Oh, almost forgot, bonus casting scoop: Keith Carradine is reprising his role as Deb's daddy figure ex, F.B.I. Special Agent Frank Lundy for multiple episodes.
