Smallville - Justice Society Casting Spoilers
That’s right folks as we predicted last week, Hawkman and Doctor Fate will join the previously announced Stargirl in episode 12 of Season of Nine. IGN was also lucky enough to give us just who exactly would be playing this two characters, and I think the casting is spot on. Hawkman will be played by Michael Swanks of Stargate SG-1 fame, while Doctor Fate will be played by Brent Stait whose past work includes an on-going role in the TV series, Andromeda.
Even without the casting details for Stargirl, this announcement has me a firm believer that this episode of Smallville has the potential to be one of the biggest things the show has ever done. Hawkman and Doctor Fate are huge forces in the DC Universe, and the chance to see these characters come to life has me quite excited for this episode. I think the casting of Swanks and Stait is perfect due to the fact that these men have already established themselves as legends in the Sc-Fi community, and now they get to show off to the Superhero community.
Fancast.com is now reporting that “Aliens in America” star Britt Irvin will be playing Stargirl. I personally haven’t seen any of Britt’s work, but since Stargirl is Johns’ creation, I trust that he made good judgment in the casting of Irvin.
