The CW released their Fall 2009-2010 Schedule and Smallville was moved to a new time slot on Friday nights at 8PM.
In the TV Industry Friday night is where shows are usually moved to die, so this is not the greatest news for the show and I assume that Season 9 will be the last season unless the ratings turn around.
